ROCKLANDPOST RUNDOWN

djto

It’s over. President-elect Donald Trump triumphed over mass media and political establishment with his brash commentary and plan to overhaul America and American diplomacy as we know it.

In local Rockland elections DEMs swept every job from President to town council seats. Clinton won Rockland, NY by just over 6 percent.

US Senator Chuck Schumer (D), cousin of Amy Schumer, retains his powerful seat and is yet to show signs of slowing down. Republicans have yet to find a candidate with big backing to run against Senator Schumer.

97th District Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee retained her seat. NYS Senator David Carlucci won with over 70 percent of the vote.

Local Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski and US Congresswoman Nita Lowey ran unopposed and kept their posts.

Democrats Larry Schwartz and Kevin Russo won the two County Judges seats.

Dan Capra (D ) won in Clarkstown making the 4-1 Republican run board a 3-2 split.
