UPDATE:LTE Preserve South Nyack residents
Dear Editor at rocklandpost.com,
Last Thursday, Preserve South Nyack, a advocacy group of concerned of South Nyack residents, held a public meeting at the Nyack Library to raise awareness about the plans to permanently alter the face of South Nyack.
Concerns about the impacts of the development of the Esposito trail to connect to the Shared Use Path on the New York Bridge were discussed as well as plans that call for the widening of South Franklin Street to add a bike lane that extends beyond the Esposito Trail, and the addition of two large scale commuter bus stops at the corners of South Franklin Street and Clinton Avenue.
Many concerned residents came out for this event and plan to attend the South Nyack Village Board of Trustees meeting this Tuesday, December 13 at 7:15 PM to follow up with their village officials regarding these concerns, and are hoping to get some answers.
Preserve South Nyack encourages all residents in the village and its surrounding areas to attend this meeting and ask those interested in attending to RSVP to email@example.com. Residents and concerned citizens can also email this address for materials and information on this topic and/or join Preserve South Nyack facebook group.
