  1. Thank you to the Social Justice Club at Tappan Zee High School for your generous donation of comfort kits! These comfort kits, made up of toiletries and new clothing, will be given to victims and survivors of sexual assault by Center for Safety & Change advocates and volunteer rape crisis counselors at local hospitals.

YOU CAN HELP SURVIVORS TOO!

JOIN CENTER FOR CENTER FOR SAFETY AND CHANGE SPIN EVENT IN APRIL.

Every April, survivors, victims, advocates and allies join together to bring awareness to sexual assault wearing the color teal to offer support. Our Inaugural Spin-a-thon will educate and empower everyone to start the conversation and strike the stigma that follow victims and survivors of these horrific crimes.

Join us for one (or more!) of three themed rides: 80s Ride with instructor Carolyn Mandaro at noon ($35 per bike), Glow Ride with instructor Adrienne DiBlasi at 1 p.m. ($35 per bike), 75-Minute Survivor Ride with instructor Nicole Barbato at 2 p.m. ($75 per bike).

Ride fee includes reserved bike for your chosen ride(s), shirt, light fare, towel service and door prizes. All proceeds will benefit Center for Safety & Change, Rockland County’s only non-profit agency offering confidential life-saving, life-changing and critical comfort, when needed most, to victims and survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking, domestic violence and other crimes.

Men, women, and teens of all fitness levels are encouraged to attend!

What is spin (indoor cycling)?
Indoor cycling is a group fitness class where the instructor and the riders are on stationary bikes. Usually the instructor is on a bike facing the riders and leads them through an interval cardio workout set to great music. Indoor cycling often mimics outdoor cycling in terms of adjusting pedal speed and resistance. This type of exercise caters to any fitness level since the rider is always in control of the bike and how difficult the ride becomes.

About Ride Revolution – Ride.Live.Enjoy:
Stephanie and Chris Cohen both hail originally from New York City but have lived in Bergen County, New Jersey for the past 13 years where they raise their 2 daughters in Haworth.
Ride Revolution was born from the need for a hip indoor cycling studio in Northern Bergen County. Sure you can take spin classes at several gyms, but you might not know how good the instructor is – what music they will use and their level of inspiration for you.
At RR EVERY single class will be an incredible experience for both your body AND your mind. Become one with your bike in a darkened, cool room with energizing music of all genres. You will transport yourself to wherever you believe your success is waiting for you – up that steep hill or at the end of that fast sprint. With comfortable seating areas in every corner and beautiful showers, you can stay an extra while and catch up with your friends and new acquaintances or freshen up and head out the door!
