OPRAH MAY OR MAY NOT REPLACE TRUMP’S TIMESLOT IN 2020

Despite media push, entertainment mogul Oprah says it’s “not in her DNA” to run for president.

Oprah Winfrey’s 2018 Golden Globes speech Jan 10 has sparked unbelievable social media speculation that the television billionaire might run for the US president in 2020.

Winfrey, 63, delivered a 10-minute acceptance speech at the Golden Globes the for career achievement in entertainment and during the speech and addressed her views and experiences with sexual abuse and the #MeToo movement.

Oprah is a sexual abuse survivor and very vocal for female equality and civil rights. Winfrey was a newscaster in the early 1980’s starting at the age of 23. Oprah Winfrey rose to stardom in 1986 as a television personality.  Oprah’s programming eventually focused more on the human experience, achievements, and growth after tragedy rather than exploiting the negative and unfixable elements of humanity and/or society like her program once did.

After her speech, Winfrey’s name was already received an outlandish number of Twitter tweets “#Oprah2020” hit social media as Oprah went backstage after the acting awards  speech.

Winfrey’s speech prompted NBC to quickly tweet, “Nothing but respect for OUR future president.”

Winfrey quickly denied that she was planning to run for America’s top job. NBC deleted the tweet on the following day, Monday Jan 11.

Sources close to Oprah told the Washington Post that Winfrey is “actively thinking” about a 2020 presidential run. Winfrey’s life partner, Stedman Graham, and best friend Gayle King both were in support of the presidential run.

Pundits and commentators have been speculating a Winfrey presidential run since the beginning of 2017. Winfrey told Bloomberg TV in early 2017 that she never considered running for president, but since Trump’s historic win she was looking at the possible run differently.

Quinnipiac University held a 2017 survey before Golden Globe speech and found 52 percent of American voters viewed Winfrey in a positive manner.

The study said 72 % of Democratic voters are favorable to Winfrey.

23 %of undisclosed voters did not favorable the billionaire television host and founder of Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) regardless of run for president.

Despite the high favorability, the same Quinnipiac study researched before the 2018 Golden Globes’s achievement award, found just 21% percent of voters said they would like the media magnate to run for president.

69% percent of  registered voters months before speech said they did not want a presidential run for Winfrey, who is a 30-plus-year marketing superstar and household name, and now after the Golden Globes speech, a front runner for DNC.

Aggregate data from an Philadelphia Tribune research alleges Oprah holding 47% of voters while 40% of voters want to retain Donald Trump in the White House.

“Those numbers are terrible,” argues G.S. Potter, executive director of the Strategic Institute on Intersectional Policy, in an interview with Philadelphia Tribune. “The majority of strategists have not adjusted their polling measures to account for their inability to see a Trump victory through the projections of a Hillary Clinton win.”

G.S. Potter continued to express his opinion that “…white America would still prefer a Nazi steak salesman to a Black woman president.”

Oprah explored poverty, abuse, relationship problems, as well as race and gender issues to become the most famous TV host of all time, but it was her creation of a syndication that ballooned her net worth.

Winfrey attained loyal household viewership during television’s golden age of the 1980’s and 1990’s and soon Oprah parlayed her hit 4 PM show to sell out books and products with in weeks of air dates, due to droves of loyal fans yearning to purchase placed products. Oprah’s main viewership draw was her audience giveaways, such as cars, vacations, and high priced items that were on the billionaire’s list of  “Oprah’s favorite things.”

Oprah’s stamp of approval made many big businesses and some female entrepreneurs, lifestyle advisors and writers very wealthy. Oprah did not discriminate, she ushered in 3 men into very powerful positions of influence and sales. Oprah “anointed” Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil, and Nate Berkus to influence physical and mental health issues and affordable home decor sales.

Forbes estimates Winfrey’s net worth to be $2.8 billion.

Winfrey is currently denying she is considering a run for American president, but more and more political observers are expecting to see the unexpected once again in 2020.

Can Trump/Pence beat the Big O?
