$1.2B Vegas style hotel comes to Monticello in Sullivan County, NY; golf course and waterpark to come

Resort World Catskill casino’s 18-story build can be seen for miles, it is the tallest building from White Plains to Albany.

 

Just over a hour’s drive from New York City, Monticello NY, has opened a $1.2B Vegas style casino with 150 live table games and 2,150 state-of-the-art slot machines.

Resorts World Catskills, a luxury casino resort, located at 888 Resorts World Drive, Monticello, NY 12701 has opened its doors to the public as of February 8th and hopes to revive an area once known for its thriving tourism industry.

Monticello opened a new luxury resort, with 2,150 state of the art slot machines and 332 all-suite guest rooms, in Sullivan County

Media was invited up to the Sullivan County resort, just an over an hours drive from Rockland County and New York City to watch a Ribbon Cutting and ceremonial first roll of the dice. The opening came weeks ahead of schedule.

Celebrating the event was Howard Zemsky, president of CEO of Empire State Development and Commissioner of NYS Dept. of Economic Development. John Bonacic, NYS Senator, Chair of Racing, Gaming and Wagering was also on hand at the the opening.

Ryan Eller, CEO and president of Resorts World Catskills opened the doors to the new 18 story casino and resort with his staff, Charles Degliomini, executive VP and Kevin Kline, chief operating office and general manager.

 

The 18-story hotel is the tallest building in New York between White Plains and Albany, and can be seen from miles away, making it a driving destination to behold.

Upon arrival, guests will be treated a hotel including 332 all-suite luxury rooms, including 12 penthouse suites, eight garden suites and seven two-story villias, two indoor pools, a spa and fitness center. For dining there will be an Italian steakhouse created by celebrity chef Scott Conant and year round entertainment at the 2,500 seat event center.

The new Sullivan County destination resort, Resorts World Catskill, will have an entertainment village providing addition entertainment, food and accommodations. Early in 2019, a Ress Jones-redesigned golf course and “The Kartrite”, and an indoor waterpark lodge will be added to this all-in-one luxury resort.
